The first two contributions represent a burgeoning branch; that of the computer simulation of physical phenomena. The following three articles deal with the thermodynamics of phase transformations as a basic theory for describing the phenomenology of phase changes in matter. The next paper describes the interconnections between structural stability and the electronic structure of phases. Two further articles are devoted to displacive transformations; a field where there are many open questions. It was noted that the influence of pressure upon phase transitions has not previously been studied very frequently. The next paper deals with its effect upon phase transformation in hydride phases. New materials, emerging as potential solutions to demanding technical problems require the attention of engineers and researchers. The last contribution reviews the recent developments in Co-based alloys. Overall, this work provides a useful guide to the above topics UR - https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=553023 ER -
