Die beständige Zurückhaltung junger Frauen gegenüber technischen Berufen erscheint zunehmend erklärungsbedürftig. Mit Bezugnahme auf die Arbeiten von Judith Butler und Michel Foucault fragt Marike Schmeck aus einer poststrukturalistisch ausgerichteten Perspektive nach der Bedeutung gesellschaftlicher Geschlechternormen im Zusammenspiel mit vorherrschenden Technikbildern, die sich bei der Entscheidung adoleszenter Frauen für oder gegen einen technischen Beruf als relevant erweisen (können). Anhand der Analyse von Gruppendiskussionen zeigt sie, wie junge Frauen widersprüchliche Anforderungen, mit denen sie sich konfrontiert sehen, bearbeiten und sich mit ihnen identifizieren, aber auch widerständige Praxen entwickeln. |
