Summary, etc Profese asistentů existuje v českém školství už více než čtvrt století. Současné trendy ve vzdělávání i statistiky, které potvrzují rostoucí počty asistentů pedagoga ve školách v České republice, ukazují, že jde o profesi velmi významnou. Zaslouží si adekvátní pozornost z hlediska výzkumu, systémového zajištění i organizace pedagogické praxe. V této knize jsou soustředěny zkušenosti asistentů pedagoga působících v základních školách v hlavním vzdělávacím proudu. První kapitola se věnuje profesní identitě asistentů pedagoga a souvislosti této identity s jejich profesionalizací. Druhá kapitola poukazuje na schopnosti a dovednosti asistentů pedagoga. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na obsah jejich práce, na jejich přímou i nepřímou pedagogickou činnost. Čtvrtá kapitola sleduje klíčové otázky spolupráce mezi asistentem pedagoga a učitelem a varianty fungování tohoto tandemu pedagogických pracovníků ve školních třídách. Poslední dvě kapitoly se věnují kontextům práce asistentů pedagoga - pracovnímu a společenskému, zaměřují se přitom na aktuální pracovní podmínky asistentů pedagoga a na hodnocení jejich práce veřejností. Kniha vznikala po dobu 2 let v rozsáhlém dialogu s asistenty pedagoga. The profession of teacher assistant has existed in the Czech educational system for more than 25 years. Current trends in education, as well as the results of statistical analyses which confi rm the growing number of teacher assistants in Czech schools, demonstrate that this is a very important profession. It deserves adequate attention in terms of research and the organization of teaching practice, as well as systemically securing the profession. This book is based on the experience of teacher assistants in mainstream primary schools. The fi rst chapter explores the professional identity of teacher assistants, and how this identity relates to their profesionalisation. The second chapter discusses the abilities and skills of teacher assistants. The third chapter is focused on the content of their work; in particular their direct and indirect educational activities. The fourth chapter examines the key issues of collaboration between a teacher's assistant and a teacher, and the variations in the functioning of this educational tandem in the classroom. The last two chapters are focused on the work context of the profession of teacher assistant. Specifi cally, these chapters deal with current working conditions of teacher assistants, as well as societal perceptions and assessment of their work. This book was created over a period of two years, as a result of extensive dialogue with teacher assistants. Asistent
