This volume collects 58 papers from the International Conference on Sport, Art Materials and Management Science (SAMMS 2012), held in May 2012 in Chongqing, China. Engineers, scientists, industry managers, and academics working in physical education, technology, and various sciences in China discuss topics relating to technology of materials and chemistry, such as materials in ball sports equipment, fiber optic cable material, and architectural acoustic materials in sports venues; mechanical engineering and manufacturing technology, including the design, materials, green construction, simulation, and performance of various technologies like machine tools, a tracking control system, a residential building, and street lamps; and mechanics, mechatronics, and modeling, with discussion of the long jump technique based on the method of mechanical analysis, research on the flight status of badminton, 3D clothing design, a water cellar structure, and the features and applications of a tennis racket.
